The Kia Syros will have its public debut at the Bharat Mobility Show in January.
Kia will unveil the Syros, its second compact SUV following the Sonet, on December 19th, with market launch slated for January. The company has been progressively releasing details and showcasing design elements and features through a series of teasers over recent weeks.
1. Syros will initially launch with an internal combustion engine powertrain.
2. The vehicle incorporates an upright cabin design for enhanced practicality.
3. A panoramic sunroof and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) will be included.
The Kia Syros will offer a distinctive approach to the compact SUV segment.
Kia India is strategically positioning the Syros as a distinctive offering within the competitive compact SUV market segment. Its boxy design, characterized by a flat roof and upright rear, prioritizes maximizing interior cabin space.
The Syros' styling incorporates design elements reminiscent of other Kia models, including the flagship EV9 SUV and Carnival MPV. A key design feature is the sharply angled upward sweep of the window line at the rear quarter glass. The body-colored B-pillar break in the window line evokes the styling of the previous Skoda Yeti.
The Syros will offer a spacious five-seat interior layout, providing ample room for passengers and cargo. It will be equipped with premium features such as a panoramic sunroof and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), competitive within its segment. Kia will initially launch the Syros with a petrol engine option, followed by an electric vehicle (EV) variant in the second half of next year.
The Syros faces significant competition in its class, given its size and planned price point. It will contend with the Skoda Kylaq, launching next week, and numerous other compact SUVs such as the Venue, Nexon, XUV 3XO, and Brezza.
The Kia Syros will make its public debut at the Bharat Mobility Show in New Delhi this January.
